The Camberwell Fair Summer Series has been created for local communities to enjoy live music safely and for free. All performances will take place at the bandstand at Myatt’s Fields Park from 3pm until 6pm. So join us, bring a picnic blanket, take a seat and enjoy the best live music that celebrates the vibrant and diverse cultures of Camberwell.

  • Sunday 1 August: Colectiva

    The utterly unique Colectiva explore the boundaries between Afro-Latin music and Jazz representing the meeting of two musical worlds that they believe belong together. This formidable all-female and non-binary identifying musicians met organically playing together in bands, sessions and jams, and collectively have played and collaborated with the likes of Little Simz, Sampa The Great, Laura Misch, , Camilo Azuquita, Dengue Dengue Dengue and The Cure to name a few.

  • Sunday 8 August: Next Generation

    Vinyl Memories will showcase and present the Next Generation of young and emerging artists. The lineup includes: Brixton rapper AJ.L aka All Just A Lesson who’s songs cover social issues, Boy Sayso mixes tribal beats, UK rap and Jazz fusion sounds; Dan Falco an upcoming artist intending on bringing something different to the music industry drawing on his Portuguese and African heritage; Krazyy K an energetic rap artist, often nicknamed ‘Conscious K’ due to the nature of her lyrics, she doesn’t shy away from spreading worldly knowledge and wise words; Stee Moglie a 25 year old singer, songwriter and multi-genre artist who uses her uniqueness to her advantage; Mac and Xvngo are trailblazers with their fusion of classical, trap, jazz, drill, hip-hop and electronic music; Mali Drummer Boy a self taught talented drummer who has been playing since he was a baby, Junior Open Mic Lambeth Award winner and MKH a rapper from South London speaking about everyday realities, from racism to mental health.

  • Sunday 11 July: Yaaba Funk

    Kicking off the Summer Series will be Yaaba Funk with their powerful sounds that blend Ghanaian Hi-Life, Funk, analogue synth bass and African rock. Fronted by Richmond Kessie and Helen McDonald, Yaaba Funk have been at the forefront of London’s Afro scene since 2006, creating a strong reputation as a live band!

  • Sunday 18 July : Matters

    Expect celestial Blues, wrapped in contemporary global grooves with Matters, the debut project from Jonny Enser of Nubiyan Twist, multi-instrumentalist and composer. He has put together an ensemble that features some of the most powerful forces exploring music in the UK. Each member brings different languages for conversing with his compositions, drawing musicians from Nerija, Colectiva, Emma Jean Thackray, Noya Rao and beyond. Breath with the brass and move with the drums.

  • Sunday 25 July: Jelly's Jams

    Featuring acts Jelly Cleaver and All Day Breakfast Cafe. Jelly Cleaver is a guitarist, producer and singer-songwriter based in South London, and has been called ‘the next artist to make an impact on the London Jazz Scene’ by Worldwide FM's Tina Edwards. She's received the Steve Reid InNOVAtion award, is a Serious Take Five artist and has been nominated for an Ivors Composer Award. All Day Breakfast are inspired by artists like Chic, Earth Wind and Fire and Patrice Rushton, they combine killer horn arrangements with hard hitting disco grooves which are impossible not to get up and dance to.
