Summer Series Part 2
After the stonking success of our Summer Series Part 1 on Myatt’s Fields Park, we had a further six weeks programmed on Camberwell Green! Afternoons were filled with live music from the hottest global and local musicians, artists and bands on the green for everyone to enjoy!
Content Creators
Camberwell residence aged 18-25 who were passonate about Camberwell’s creative culture were able to join our free Content Creators programme to learn new skills, work with professionals and gain valuable experience in all digital content creation.
Artists in Residence
We worked with four amazing artists to provide creative and professional support for emerging artists from South London with partners, Earth Agency, First Word Records, School Ground Sounds and The Midi Music Company.
Summer Series Part 1
A free series of intimate Sunday afternoon live music concerts in Myatt’s Fields Park on the bandstand featuring the freshest global and local sounds from musicians and bands every Sunday from July-August.
Carnival Making
Thanks to funding from the Peabody Foundation, teamed up with Sunshine International Arts, SLAM Community Mental Health and Addiction Services and UAL Camberwell College of Arts on a two-year programme.
Artist Development
Camberwell Fair has supported over 200 artists with training, workshops and performance opportunities since 2018 working in partnership with South London Youth Music charities.
Enterprise Skills
In 2019 we launched an enterprise programme to support new local businesses with a series of business support seminars and free stall pitch at the Camberwell Fair market.
Rare Doings
In 2018 we received funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to research the history of the ancient Fair, working with the Cuming Collection, Southwark History Library, People's Company and local volunteers to create original work in response to the archive material.
Volunteering
Camberwell Fair has recruited and worked with over 100 local volunteers aged 18 to 70, training them in areas of event production to build new skills, gain transferable experience and feel connected to their community.
